AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

We are committed to environmental improvement and the prevention of pollution. We will work with our customers, suppliers and the community, and adopt procedures that:

  • Reduce waste through innovative work practices and recycling
  • Use processes and materials that minimise or reduce the release of harmful emissions
  • Minimise negative impact of our operations on the community as far as practicable
  • Increase the use of materials, equipment and technologies that reduce environmental impact
  • Promote environmental responsibility and risk management amongst our staff, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall responsibility for environmental management rests with Drivetrain’s managers, who are accountable for the implementation of this Policy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementation of all approved environmental policies and procedures
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements and legal obligations
  • Establishing measurable objectives and targets to ensure continued improvement aimed at the minimisation of waste, pollution and environmental harm
  • Encouraging consultation and co-operation between management, employees and stakeholders in matters which may affect or impact on the environment
  • Allocation of adequate resources to meet the company’s environmental commitments

Employees also have responsibilities, which include:

  • Acting in accordance with environmental policies and procedures at all times
  • Recognising and reporting hazards which may impact negatively on the environment
